TriValley CoderDojo Co-Founders: Alexander and Valerie Freitas
TriValley CoderDojo got its start when Alex wanted to share his love of coding with other youth in the area. CoderDojo’s mission to provide free learning opportunities to youth, especially in computer programming was the perfect way to do that. TriValley CoderDojo held its first session in 2013 and has been going strong ever since.
Alex, an independent learner and a 4-H community project leader, applied his unique talents and interests to engaging participants as a youth leader and technical mentor. Valerie, brought her combined experience and training in business management, technology, youth development, education, and Agile project management to benefit the club’s organizational operations, program development, and teaching.
Our dedicated co-founders and all of our caring volunteers invite you to become a part of our club and get involved in the learning and leadership opportunities available. Visit our Sessions and Schedule tab to find out about our sessions and when they’re held and enjoy free membership by registering with our event notification system.
