This Thursday TriV CoderDojo will participate in East Bay Gives, an annual 24-hour online giving day that supports selected nonprofit groups throughout the region. The giving day offers an easy way for parents, family members, and the community to make a tax-deductible donation to support TriV.
We are asking each family to:
- Donate $20
- Add to the support by asking 5 friends and/or family members to donate $20!
Click the “DONATE” button to pre-schedule your donation today, or you can join on the excitement on May 4th and donate then. TriV can win special prizes for donations made on May 4 – to see the prize list and how we can win click here.
Money raised through the Giving Day event will be used to support our first-ever Scratch Hackathon on May 27.
During the hackathon our young coders will work together as teams to build games using Scratch, a coding language developed by the MIT Media Lab to help young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. There will be learning, teamwork, food, fun and prizes!
Your support will make our hackathon the most beneficial experience possible for our coders by providing session materials, food and beverages, and prizes. Any excess funds will be put towards hosting our future weekly CoderDojo events.
