Two Teens Win First Place for Best Game

CONGRATULATIONS to 13 year old Ethan and 14 year old Pulkit on their First Place Win for Best Game at CodeDay San Francisco this past weekend!  We’re very proud of their achievement!  They built their addictively engaging mobile game in Unity.  If you’re up to the challenge, you can download their game, Downside, from the Google play store.

Learn While Participating at CodeDay Hackathon

CodeDay is a 24-hour event where students can share their passion for creating cool things with technology get together, pitch ideas, form teams, and build mobile apps or games within 24 hours.  No prior experience is required.  Part of the fun is learning to program while working with others and workshops are available to help folks get their feet wet.  For an idea of what the 24 hour event is like watch the video on CodeDay’s site and check out the schedule by scrolling to the bottom of the page.  All food is provided during the event.  Attendees bring their laptop computers and a sleeping bag and toothbrush (if they wish to sleep).  The event is open to high school and college students, but middle school students may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.  Attendees can win awards for the best projects!
